Nate Parker and Gabrielle Union hit the red carpet at the premiere of their film The Birth of a Nation held during the 2016 Sundance Film Festival on Monday (January 25) at the Eccles Center Theatre in Park City, Utah.
The actors were joined at the event by their co-stars Armie Hammer (with wife Elizabeth Chambers), Aja Naomi King, Colman Domingo, and Penelope Ann Miller, as well as singer Maxwell.
Nate wrote, directed, and produced the film in addition to starring in it and he has broken the record for the biggest sale in Sundance history. The movie sold to Fox Searchlight for $17.5 million and the film received a thunderous standing ovation at the premiere, according to Variety. Oscar buzz has already started!
